The official launching ceremony of Modern Premier League (MPL) Season 3 was successfully held at the Al Kawthar University Auditorium, Karachi, bringing together leading hospitals, healthcare professionals, organizers, sponsors, and members of the media in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, unity, and professional collaboration.
In his welcome address, Mr. Taleeque ul Karim, Sports Manager of the The Modern Hospital warmly received participating hospital teams and distinguished guests while highlighting the vision and objectives of MPL Season 3 as a platform promoting teamwork, wellness, and inter-hospital engagement through healthy sporting competition. He also acknowledged the valuable contributions of sponsors and supporting partners whose collaboration continues to strengthen the league’s impact and outreach. A detailed briefing on tournament rules and regulations, including match format, eligibility criteria, and discipline guidelines, was presented by Mr. Mirza Zoheed, Public Relations of The Modern Hospital to ensure clarity for all participating teams.
The briefing stated that the tournament will start from 22nd at the UBL Sports Complex and will continue till 26th April. 24 teams will participate in these competitions. The defending champion is Bahria International. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 300,000 while the runner-up will receive Rs. 150,000.
The highlight of the event was an open deal announcement by the Director of Operations, Dr. Sohail Abbasi. The Modern Hospital introduced an open collaboration initiative, announcing that all MoUs are open to partnerships with different hospitals willing to facilitate their patients at The Modern Hospital.

In his closing remarks, the Director Operations appreciated the commitment of participating teams and partners and formally declared Modern Premier League Season 3 open.
