The industrialist members of the Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industries (FBATI) have elected new office-bearers. Syed Raza Hussain, the CEO of Hussain and Co. assumed the position of President.
Raza, an industrialist and advisor to multiple business forums, reaffirmed his commitment to resolving the issues faced by the business community through greater engagement with public- and private-sector stakeholders.
He said the new leadership would take initiatives to promote business and economic activities across the country by improving the ease of doing business, reducing energy costs and promoting the adoption of artificial intelligence.
Raza reiterated his vision to develop a comprehensive SME development plan for the country, with a focus on specialised incentives, financing programmes and measures to promote export growth.
The newly elected FBATI president also expressed his commitment to continuing advocacy for the development of Karachi’s infrastructure to address the challenges faced by businesses and improve the overall business environment.
Muhammad Haroon Shamsi, Partner at Shaheen Industries, has been elected Senior Vice President of FBATI, while Imran Haroon, Partner at Globe Dyeing, has been elected Vice President FBATI.
