Pakistan’s rapidly expanding solar energy sector, investment opportunities in solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), evolving net-metering policies and the challenges facing the renewable energy industry will come under discussion at the 3rd International SolarPower Conclave & Solar Technology Excellence Awards 2026, scheduled to be held on September 24, 2026, in Lahore.
Organised by Energy Update, the conclave will bring together policymakers, government representatives, energy experts, solar industry leaders, technology providers, investors, consultants and other stakeholders to discuss the changing dynamics of Pakistan’s energy sector and the growing role of solar power and energy storage in the country’s future energy mix.
Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan will attend the event as the Chief Guest. The gathering will also feature senior representatives and leading professionals from the government, academia and private sector, providing a platform for dialogue on policy, investment, technology and the future direction of Pakistan’s solar industry.
The event will feature two key panel discussions. Panel Discussion I, titled “Investment Opportunities in Solar PV and Battery Storage System (BESS)”, will focus on the growing investment potential in solar generation and energy storage, emerging business models, commercial and industrial applications, financing opportunities and the role of BESS in improving energy reliability and flexibility.
Panel Discussion II, titled “Solar in Pakistan – Challenges, Policy Reforms & the Way Forward,” will examine the key challenges confronting the solar sector, including regulatory and policy issues, market developments, grid integration and the evolving framework for distributed generation and net metering. Industry experts will also discuss possible policy reforms and pathways for sustainable growth of the solar market.
The conclave will also feature technical discussions focusing on the latest solar technologies, Battery Energy Storage Systems, system efficiency, grid integration, energy management and technological developments shaping the next phase of Pakistan’s renewable energy transition.
