L’Oréal Pakistan was recognized in the “Inclusive Development and Economic Growth” awards category at the 29th Sustainable Development Conference, hosted by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), for its efforts to strengthen women’s economic participation and access to sustainable livelihoods.
These community programs include the Beauty for a Better Life, supported by the Fondation L’Oréal and implemented in Pakistan with the Depilex SmileAgain Foundation. It provides vocational beauty skills to survivors of domestic violence and acid attacks, helping them build pathways to employment and self-employment.
The Digital Literacy Program, supported by the L’Oréal Fund for Women and executed with CIRCLE, equips women with digital and financial skills to grow their home-based businesses. Meanwhile, L’Oréal Paris’ Stand Up Against Street Harassment initiative, in collaboration with Bedari, promotes safer public spaces for women by raising awareness of effective and safe intervention techniques in response to street harassment.
At the Sustainability Investment Expo (SIE), L’Oréal Pakistan also showcased L’Oréal for the Future, the Group’s sustainability program. Built around four pillars – stewarding the climate transition, safeguarding nature, driving circularity and supporting communities – the program reflects L’Oréal’s goal to advance sustainability across its operations, while contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive future.
