IBA Karachi has secured the 9th position globally in the Top 30 Business Schools of the Islamic Economy 2026 ranking released by DinarStandard and SalaamGateway, reinforcing its standing as a leading institution committed to academic excellence, institutional credibility, and industry relevance. Notably, IBA Karachi is one of only two institutions from Pakistan to be featured in the ranking, marking an important milestone for the country’s higher education landscape. This recognition reflects the growing importance of institutions that combine academic rigor with relevant ecosystem engagement in areas such as Islamic finance, ethical enterprise, and the broader Islamic economy. The ranking evaluates institutions across three key dimensions: Curriculum Depth (45%), Institutional Credibility (35%), and Ecosystem Support (20%).
For IBA Karachi, this recognition is significant not only as a global academic benchmark, but also as an affirmation of the institution’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality education that is globally relevant and locally impactful. It reflects IBA’s broader role in shaping future leaders through strong academic foundations, institutional discipline, and meaningful engagement with evolving business and economic realities. The 2026 ranking also highlights the broader global landscape of Islamic economy education, with Malaysia leading the list with nine institutions, followed by the United Arab Emirates with four and Saudi Arabia with three. The ranking offers an important perspective on how leading institutions worldwide are contributing to the future of education, research, and leadership in the Islamic economy.
