Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) The newly developed Chewra Base Resort, established by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab in the scenic hill area of Kotli Sattian, Tehsil Murree, has garnered significant attention from national media. Tourism beat reporters from various well-known electronic media channels based in Lahore paid a special visit to the resort. More than twenty journalists toured the facility, exploring its modern glamping pods and charming treehouses, while appreciating the breathtaking natural surroundings. According to the sources the resort features seven uniquely designed glamping pods and four treehouses, built with a modern architectural approach. A restaurant has also been constructed to provide quality dining facilities for visitors. In addition, recreational activities such as archery, ATV rides, and stargazing have been arranged to enhance the tourist experience. During the visit, journalists were given a detailed briefing on the resort’s modern accommodation, environmentally conscious construction, and initiatives taken to promote tourism. Participants praised the resort’s innovative concept, high standards, and tourist-friendly amenities, calling it a significant step forward for tourism development in Punjab. The journalists remarked that Chewra Base Resort has the potential to become an attractive destination not only for domestic but also for international tourists, contributing to regional tourism growth and boosting the local economy. TDCP has also established four new treehouses at Patriata Top, aiming to promote eco-friendly tourism and offer visitors a unique lodging experience. These projects are expected to serve as important milestones in the promotion of tourism in the region. TDCP spokesperson Tehreem Qazi stated that the department is committed to highlighting Punjab’s beautiful yet lesser-explored areas and providing high-quality tourism facilities through such initiatives.
