IBA Karachi and Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) have launched the IBA x OGDCL Leadership Academy—a first-of-its-kind platform in Pakistan focused on executive leadership, institutional transformation, and conflict resolution in the energy sector and beyond. This strategic launch was led by the IBA’s Center for Executive Education (CEE).
The landmark launch, held at OGDCL’s Head Office, also includes the establishment of a dedicated Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Desk, offering out-of-court solutions for commercial and workplace disputes in the energy sector.
The MoU was signed by Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA Karachi, and Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, Managing Director, OGDCL, marking a shared vision to build leadership capacity and drive innovation across the sector.
The ceremony was led by Mr. Kamran Bilgrami, Director, IBA-CEE; Mr. Shahzad Safdar, Executive Director HR, OGDCL, and Mr. Talat Haider, Chief L&D, OGDCL. In a joint statement, they emphasized the Academy as “a pioneering model for sustainable growth and talent development.” Programs will begin in Q1 of 2025/26, covering leadership, governance, energy innovation, policy, transformation, and ADR.
This partnership underscores a long-term commitment to leadership excellence, organizational development, and practical conflict resolution in Pakistan’s energy ecosystem.
