The Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola system, in partnership with Rizq, aim to deliver over 550,000 meals to flood-affected communities in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The drive includes 3,000 food ration hampers (with flour, rice, oil, sugar and lentils) to feed families for one month. A community dastarkhwan is serving meals safely, alongside the distribution of more than 100,000 servings of drinking water. Selected communities are also receiving blankets, bedding, and feminine hygiene kits to support affected families.
The Coca-Cola Foundation has provided USD 100,000, while an additional USD 30,000 has been contributed by the Coca-Cola system, including Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCI Pakistan), the company’s Turkish bottling partner in Pakistan. Volunteers from the Coca-Cola system are working alongside Rizq’s teams to ensure swift and effective distribution, with a special focus on isolated communities as winter approaches.
“We are inspired by the resilience of the Pakistani communities during this challenging time,” said Carlos Pagoaga, President, The Coca-Cola Foundation. “Following the 2022 floods, The Coca-Cola Foundation extended immediate relief support with ration bags in Balochistan and Coca-Cola Pakistan installed a solar-powered water filtration plant in Thatta for drinking water. We thank Rizq and provincial authorities in Punjab, KP, and GB whose coordination enabled the rapid mobilization of relief operations.”
“CCI Pakistan stands in solidarity with communities impacted by the devastating floods. Our team is visiting flood-affected areas to deliver urgent relief, including Dasani water bottles, ration bags, bedding sets, and sanitary kits. Witnessing the resilience of those affected has been deeply moving. We remain committed to both immediate support and long-term recovery, helping build a stronger, more resilient Pakistan,” said Sunay Sanli, General Manager, CCI Pakistan.
Qasim Javaid, CEO of Rizq, emphasized, “This contribution is critical to stabilizing communities. Coca-Cola’s assistance, including the time and effort of its volunteers, goes beyond material aid, showing those affected that they are not alone.”
This initiative reflects The Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola system’s support for Pakistan in the wake of natural disasters.
