Bank Alfalah launches Eatsy, Pakistan’s first bank-led Restaurant App

Bank Alfalah, one of Pakistan’s largest commercial banks in Pakistan, announces the launch of Eatsy, a first-of-its-kind, end-to-end digital dining payment solution that transforms the restaurant experience for both consumers and merchants. With Eatsy, Bank Alfalah continues to lead the charge in integrating banking technology with everyday dining lifestyle, making the process of reserving, ordering, creating cards and paying for meals completely seamless, secure, and paperless.

Designed to enhance operational efficiency for restaurant partners and provide unparalleled ease for customers, Eatsy digitises the full dine-in and payments journey. From table reservations to real-time ordering, card creation and payments, the app serves as a one-stop platform to make dining cashless, smarter, faster, and more rewarding. Bank Alfalah has already onboarded 11 tier-one restaurants, including Premo by Xanders, The Patio, Tooso, Coco Cubano, Enigma and London Courtyard in Karachi and Lahore. The Bank aims to expand this footprint by onboarding more restaurants within the same year, further strengthening its mission to digitise the dining experience across the country.

“Eatsy is a major step forward in our journey of embedded banking,’ said Yahya Khan, Chief Digital Officer of Bank Alfalah. ‘By combining the convenience of mobile payments with the everyday dining experience, we are enabling a cashless ecosystem that benefits both our customers and restaurant partners. Our goal is to make payments embedded simpler, promote financial inclusion, and offer a digitised lifestyle solution that embeds in today’s consumer lifestyle. Eatsy is more than just an app; it’s an embedded platform for the future of payments and dining in Pakistan.”

    For Users

For diners, Eatsy offers a frictionless and personalised experience through its intuitive interface. Customers can conveniently browse restaurant menus within the app, eliminating the wait for a physical menu or server, and place their orders directly through their smartphones. The app also enables users to reserve tables with real-time availability and receive instant confirmations, removing the hassle of phone calls or long queues. From the moment an order is placed, customers can track their meal’s progress from the kitchen to the table, thanks to built-in live updates and estimated wait times. When it comes to payment, Eatsy simplifies the process with a secure, cashless system that instantly creates and accepts all banks’ Mastercard and Visa debit and credit cards, along with the option to create a Bank Alfalah prepaid card for top-ups and payments.. Additionally, diners enjoy exclusive cashback offers and tax savings when they pay through digital methods, adding value to every transaction and encouraging repeat visits.

    For Merchants

For restaurants, Eatsy presents a complete digital solution to optimise front and back-end operations. Reservation management becomes effortless with the ability to manage table availability, respond to customer preferences, and confirm bookings in real-time. The app streamlines order management and reduces errors and delays while improving communication between servers and kitchen staff. Restaurants can also issue and accept prepaid cards through Eatsy, allowing customers to pre-load funds and make instant payments either via the app or at the venue. Payments are received in real time, in a completely paperless environment, offering merchants better cash flow and record-keeping and a direct integration with. Additionally, Eatsy equips restaurant partners with operational insights and analytics that help them understand customer behaviour, tailor their offerings, and enhance overall service quality.

As the first application introduced by any Bank in Pakistan that digitises both the merchant and consumer side of the restaurant order and payment experience, Eatsy represents a major milestone in the journey toward a cashless dining ecosystem. The strategic vision behind Eatsy is to convert all cash customers within the restaurant ecosystem to digital payment users by enabling them to create and make payments through prepaid cards via the app. Users can also instantly sign up for a Bank Alfalah prepaid card and start earning rewards on every payment, while enjoying the convenience of a cashless embedded lifestyle.

As Bank Alfalah continues to digitise the dining out, Eatsy is available for download, allowing users to experience effortless reservations, ordering, and payments in just a few taps: https://bit.ly/3DYOzFo.
