Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) I A Rehman, journalist, human rights campaigner, peace activist and member of Ajoka’s Board of Advisors passed away this morning. A huge loss for those who believe in a democratic, peaceful snd secular society. Rehman sahib was an enthusiastic supporter of Ajoka, hardly ever missed an Ajoka performance, even when he was unwell.
He was a mentor to Ajoka founders Madeeha Gauhar and Shahid Nadeem. His contribution to the human rights movement, Indi-Pak peace and promotion of progressive culture is unparalleled. Ajoka salutes the legendary IAR and reaffirms its resolve to continue his mission for a progressive and egalitarian society.
