POVA is back, and it didn’t come quietly. TECNO today launched
the POVA Curve 2 5G in Pakistan, a phone built on one bold idea: Beauty and Beast. You shouldn’t
have to choose between a phone that turns heads and a phone that never quits. The POVA Curve 2
5G is both, with 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM, priced at PKR 99,999.
The Beast Inside: Dimensity 7100 5G
At the heart of the POVA Curve 2 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor, built for the way
Pakistan uses its phones: gaming, streaming, multitasking and always-on connectivity. For gamers,
that means 90 minutes of smooth, stable Free Fire gameplay at 60fps, with Ice Cooling 3.0 helping
keep things steady. And the phone is made to last: it is TÜV Rheinland certified to stay lag-free for six
years. Signal gets the same treatment: 20 5G bands and TECNO’s own technology deliver up to 100%
stronger signal in buildings and basements and 60% stronger Wi-Fi, TÜV certified. It is what TECNO
calls the Pakistan Signal King.
8000mAh in 7.42mm: The Slimmest Phone with a Battery This Big
The POVA Curve 2 5G packs an 8000mAh battery into a body just 7.42mm thick and 195g in weight,
making it the thinnest phone among those with an 8000mAh battery. It is the end of the old rule
that a big battery means a brick.
What does 8000mAh mean in real life? You can charge every two days, with more than 15 days of
standby, and a TÜV certification for extended battery life of more than three days. When you do
plug in, 45W wired fast charging takes the phone from empty to full in 82 minutes. It also supports
10W reverse charging and bypass charging. The battery is built for 2,000 cycles, which TECNO says is
six years of safe, durable use.
A Curved 144Hz AMOLED Display That Shines in the Sun
The screen is a curved 144Hz AMOLED display, with a high refresh rate for smooth scrolling and
gameplay and comfortable viewing on the eyes. Peak brightness reaches up to 4,500 nits, so the
screen stays clear even in direct sunlight.
For gamers, the touch experience is tuned as hard as the screen. It features 16x touch resolution and
a 2160Hz instant sampling rate, with ultra-low response times for games like PUBG and MLBB. Multi-
scenario anti-mistouch means wet or oily hands won’t cost you a move.
Beauty on the Outside, Beast Underneath
Inspired by interstellar spaceships, the POVA Curve 2 5G pairs bold, flowing lines and a minimalist,
pure finish with a symmetrical layout that echoes the triangular deco. It is also made for real life,
with IP64 dust and water resistance for sandstorms, splashes and harsh weather, a Corning Gorilla
Glass 7i display and SGS-certified 1.5m drop resistance. It comes in three colours: Melting Silver,
Mystic Purple and Storm Titanium.
Smart Camera, Smarter Every Day
The POVA Curve 2 5G pairs a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera with a 13MP front
camera, and TECNO AI does the rest: AI Eraser 2.0 removes unwanted people, pets and clutter, AI
Flare Remover fixes glare and haze, and Image-to-Live turns still photos into moving ones. AI Noise
Cancellation keeps calls clear, and the Ella voice assistant handles two-way call translation (now
supporting WhatsApp), WhatsApp summaries and one-tap Q&A.
