The Lahore Arts Council for the promotion of art and culture will hold festivals and other literary, cultural functions. The council is planning to release its cultural calendar as well along with forming committees to hold different programmes. The council is gearing up for its own programmes and various committees have been formed to design and develop cultural activities in this regard.
The Lahore Arts Council is going to form a mega music band and orchestra and the band would have singers, musicians and instrumentalists from the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts.“Some of the music talent might also be hired from outside the council.
LAC will also launch a Literary Festival. The council will also hold a monthly literary session for promotion of Urdu language and literature with Adeel Hashmi reciting poetry of famous poets.
