AKU Examination Board Announces its Annual Examinations 2023.

The Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) has announced the annual examination results for Secondary (SSC) and Higher Secondary School (HSSC) qualifications. 
This year, 95 high performing students made it to the list of AKU-EB High Achievers in different categories, with girls taking the lead in AKU-EB results showing 65% high achievers reflecting the Board’s commitment to fostering academic excellence across its affiliated schools. 
AKU-EB announced one national level position for SSC and HSSC qualifications each, and top three provincial level overall and groupwise positions for both SSC and HSSC. These exemplify the Board’s dedication to promote quality education across its diverse schools in Pakistan. 
Rameesha Ahmad from Sindh (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karachi) achieved national level overall first position in HSSC and Urwah Ahmad from Punjab (Nusrat Jehan Academy Girls High School, Chenab Nagar) achieved national level overall first position in SSC. 
“The success of each student today is attached to AKU-EB’s emphasis on conceptual learning and understanding. Students know that they are not going to be assessed based on rote learning but complete understanding of concepts, ability to think out-of-the-box, creativity and problem-solving skills and so on…Today, as I prepare for the MDCAT examinations, I can confidently say that the AKU-EB pattern of learning has been my biggest strength in the preparation. The Board has prepared me well to achieve my aspirations and I am grateful,” said Rameesha Ahmad. 
Urwa Ahmad, excited to hear the news said, “The AKU-EB remains unique. The Board also announced its HSSC first positions at the provincial level. First provincial level overall positions were awarded to Amtul Hafiz Maheen Tariq from Punjab (Nusrat Jehan College, Chenab Nagar); Rameesha Ahmad from Sindh (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karimabad); Sheeda Ali from Gilgit Baltistan (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gahkuch); and Hayat Younus from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Chitral). 
At the SSC level, first provincial level overall positions were awarded to Lubna Jeswani from Sindh (H.H. Prince Aga Khan Secondary School Amynabad); Urwah Ahmad from Punjab (Nusrat Jehan Academy Girls High School, Chenab Nagar); Durr E Sameen from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Kuragh, Chitral) and Arshila Murad from Gilgit Baltistan (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Hunza). 
The Board proudly acknowledges its affiliated schools and students for their hard work, effort, and dedication.

According to the annual Aga Khan University Examination Board University Destination Survey, 90% of AKU-EB HSSC graduating students gain admissions into various national and international universities. At the national level, half of AKU-EB HSSC graduating students gain admission into the top 50 universities in Pakistan, including Aga Khan University, Lahore School of Management Sciences (LUMS), Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dow University of Health Sciences (DOW), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), NED University of Engineering & Technology, Habib University, among others.
