TCS to start first-ever TIR outbound shipment from Pakistan to Kazakhstan in April

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) TCS Logistics, the largest logistics company in Pakistan, has signed a contract with Eastern Products (Pvt.) Ltd .to ship their products from Pakistan to Kazakhstan under the TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers”), the International Road Trucking Convention.

The contract marks the first-ever outbound movement from Pakistan to Kazakhstan under the TIR Convention. The first shipment is expected to depart in mid-April 2019.

A signing ceremony was held in this regard where Mr. Yonus Ali Siddiqui, Head of New Business Initiatives, TCS and Syed Waqas Azher, Manager Export, Eastern Products (Pvt. Ltd.), signed the contract on behalf of their respective companies. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Khalid Nawaz Awan, Chairman, TCS Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd., Ms. Saira Awan, Vice Chairperson, TCS Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd., Mr. Qasim Awan, Director, TCS Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd. and Mr. Zia ur Rehman, Supply Chain Head, Eastern Products (Pvt.) Ltd.

Expressing his views on the occasion Mr. Khalid Awan said, “This will open new trade corridors for Pakistani manufactures, exporters and traders as now they will be further facilitated in exporting their products to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian states.”
