ORIC-IoBM hosts a workshop on Qualitative Research

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) The Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organized a two-day workshop on “Qualitative Research Methodology and Data Analysis using NVivo” at the Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC), IoBM. Dr. Rab Nawaz Lodhi, a faculty member at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, was invited as the resource person.

Prof. Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani, Senior Advisor to President, Acting Dean, CBM, and Director ORIC and Graduate Studies (OGS), IoBM presided over the workshop’s opening ceremony. Farah Habib, Assistant Manager ORIC/OGS and Muhammad Tariq, Coordinator, ORIC organized this workshop that was attended by faculty, management and M.Phil/PhD students. The workshop was exclusively designed for research students, scholars and professionals from various disciplines including business management, social sciences and natural sciences. Prof. Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani welcomed the participants and said that ORIC-IoBM will continue to host such workshops to train research students and faculty in using qualitative research methodologies. Dr. Rab Nawaz Lodhi shared that this workshop will equip the participants with modern tips, tools and techniques used for gathering, analyzing and using data through qualitative research. This workshop was attended by participants from various universities including the University of Karachi, SZABIST, IQRA University, PAF-KIET while representatives from national and multinational corporations and the Government of Sindh were also present.  

Dr. Raba Nawaz Lodhi holds his Ph.D. in Management Sciences from Bahria University, Islamabad and is a certified international trainer of QSR NVivo 9/10 (Qualitative Research and Data Analysis). He has delivered training in national and international universities and has over 50 publications in national and international journals including Impact Factor journals.
