Pak Mission Society (PMS), with the generous support of Kindernothilfe (KNH) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the Child-Driven Climate Action (CDCA) Project, organized the National Climate Exhibition & Advocacy Dialogue 2026 under the theme “Youth-Led Climate Solutions for a Resilient Pakistan.”
The national-level event brought together government representatives, parliamentarians, policymakers, climate experts, academia, civil society, development partners, private sector representatives, and young climate leaders to showcase innovative climate solutions and strengthen youth participation in climate policy and decision-making.
Barrister Aqeel Malik, State Minister for Human Rights, graced the event as Chief Guest. The programme also featured keynote contributions from the Director General, Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA), the CEO, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC), and Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change & Environmental Protection.
A major highlight of the event was the showcase of CDCA achievements and Green Club initiatives, demonstrating how children and young people are taking action on climate awareness, environmental protection, advocacy, and community resilience. The National Climate Exhibition provided a platform for government institutions, universities, civil society organizations, private sector actors, development partners, and youth-led initiatives to present practical climate solutions and innovations.
The event featured a high-level panel discussion on “Empowering Youth for Climate Leadership, Innovation, Green Jobs & Entrepreneurship,” moderated by Fizza Hameed Khan, with panelists Khoja Sheraz, NYLP; Ms. Amna Munawwar Awan, President, Centre of Climate Diplomacy; Dr. Zaigham Abbas, Director, Pak-EPA; and Sher Shah Khan, Co-Founder, Skillistan.
The dialogue further placed youth voices at the centre of climate policy through the presentation of the Five Youth Climate Demands, developed through the CDCA Project. The demands were presented to policymakers during a dedicated advocacy dialogue moderated by Ahmad Rafay Alam, Environmental Lawyer, with participation from Ms. Amina Batool, Coordinator PMYP; Mr. Ahmed Ateeq, Chairman, Standing Committee on Water Resources; Ms. Shaista Jadoon, Parliamentary Secretary, Agriculture; Ms. Kiran Imran Dar, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination; and Ms. Shaista Pervaiz Malik, Member of the National Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Wakeel Ahmed Khan, Chief Programme Officer, Pak Mission Society, highlighted the achievements of CDCA and the growing role of children and youth in advancing climate awareness, advocacy, and practical environmental action.
The event concluded with awards recognizing outstanding youth participation, creativity, leadership, and climate innovation, reaffirming the commitment of stakeholders to advancing child- and youth-led climate action for a resilient and sustainable Pakistan.
