Chief Executive Officer Central Business District Punjab Imran Amin chaired a high-level meeting to review the quality standards, finishing works and safety arrangements of ongoing projects of the Punjab Central Business District Development Authourity (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab). The session focused on ensuring that all developments are being executed in accordance with international construction benchmarks and workplace safety protocols. The meeting was attended by COO CBD Punjab Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua, Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Construction Asif Babar, Director Architecture & Planning Sameer Aftab Sial, Director Engineering Omar Hayat, Project Manager NSIT City Yasir Saifullah, along with representatives from NESPAK and project contractors. Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain briefed CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin and COO Brigader. (R) Mansoor Janjua on the quality of construction materials being used at various project sites. A detailed presentation was also given on the finishing progress of CBD Punjab’s flagship project “Vertex,” where tile installation and elevation works are advancing at a rapid pace. The CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin expressed satisfaction over the pace and standard of finishing and directed that the same momentum be maintained across all components. During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on site safety measures. CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin directed that all construction material must be stored in a secure manner and that excavation areas, particularly those related to sewerage works, must be properly barricaded and clearly marked to prevent any untoward incident. He stressed the need for strict compliance with health and safety regulations at every project location. Addressing the participants, CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin stated that while CBD Punjab is moving forward at a fast pace toward urban development, the protection of citizens and workers remains the foremost priority. He reiterated that no negligence regarding site safety would be tolerated and that contractors must always ensure a safe working environment. The meeting concluded with directions to further strengthen monitoring mechanisms to deliver high-quality, sustainable and people-centric infrastructure across CBD Punjab projects.
