University of the Punjab successfully hosted a seminar titled “New Horizons of Public Relations and Advertising,” organized by the sixth-semester students of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising. The seminar was designed to highlight emerging trends, opportunities and future prospects in the fields of Public Relations and Advertising. The event witnessed strong participation from students, faculty members, and guests, who appreciated the efforts and coordination of the organizing team. The event was conducted under the supervision of Chairperson Dr. Faiza Lateef and Seminar Advisor Professor Dr. Arshad Ali, whose guidance and leadership played a pivotal role in the smooth execution of the program. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Faiza Lateef stated, “Our aim is to equip students with contemporary knowledge and practical insights into the evolving fields of Public Relations and Advertising. Such seminars provide an important platform for students to engage with industry professionals, understand emerging trends, and prepare themselves for future challenges in the communication industry.” The keynote address was delivered by chief guest Umar Chaudhry Senior Manager Communication Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC)), who shared valuable insights on modern communication strategies, digital media evolution and the changing dynamics of public relations in the contemporary media landscape. His session was highly informative and well received by the audience. The seminar was organized by a dedicated student team including Zain Akbar as Team Lead, Abdul Rehman as Creative Head, Zorain Haider as Media Head, Minahil Nawaz and Minal Mamoon as Media Team members, Abrar Ashraf as Social Media Head, Dania Waseem as Social Media Team member, Fatima Qureshi as Videographer, Talha Sarwar managing Finance, Abdul Sami and Habiba Amjad as Hosts, and Minahil Rizwan who performed the recitation of the Holy Quran. At the conclusion of the event, the organizers extended their gratitude to all guests, faculty members, and participants for their presence and contribution in making the seminar a successful academic activity.
