IBA hosted the Orientation Gala 2026 (OGala’26) at the Main Campusto welcome the newly inducted students. This two-day orientation was also attended by parents of the newly inducted students. Around 2,500 people including the new students and parents, faculty and staff attended the event.
Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA Karachi, welcomed the new students: “I warmly welcome all our newly admitted students and their families to IBA and to OGala 2026. This event marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, offering an opportunity to experience the vibrant campus, connect with the IBA community, and discover the environment that will become your home for the next four years.”
Ms. Maheen Ghauri, Dean Student Success & International Engagement, explained the purpose of the event: “I am delighted to welcome our newest cohort to the vibrant and diverse IBA community. OGala 2026 helps students connect with peers, experience campus life, and begin their IBA journey with confidence and enthusiasm.”
Students enjoyed a range of games and activities organized in the IBA Campus Connect Zone. Student societies set up kiosks to introduce students to clubs, societies, and campus activities, while Student Support Offices familiarized students and parents with available support services. Food stalls offered refreshments, and the first day concluded with a movie night screening.
A soulful and memorable evening, featuring a mesmerizing performance by Ustad Farid Ayaz and Abu Muhammad Qawwal Group, became one of the highlights of IBA OGala 2026. The vibrant and thoughtfully curated event offered new students a warm and engaging introduction to the IBA community while creating lasting memories, friendships, and connections.
