Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has asked the meeting to form a suitable team for the International Cricket Federation Champions Trophy to be held in February 2025.
The PCB chief stressed the importance of organizing the necessary teams for the competition and expediting the work on the stadium renovation project. Naqvi is expected to meet new ICC president Jay Shah at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final in Dubai in October.
The PCB is awaiting final approval of the Champions Trophy schedule and is expected to announce the schedule by the end of October. The ICC team reviewed the arrangements at venues such as Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Lahore and was satisfied with the security measures and procedures.
