Over 1200 orphan children from underprivileged families will spend a fun-filled day at an elite holiday resort on Karachi’s outskirts. These orphan children are enrolled in the charitable schools of the non-profit Green Crescent Trust (GCT) in the deprived parts of Karachi. A total of 2114 orphan children are enrolled at 170 charitable schools in underprivileged parts of Sindh. For the rest of the orphan children, the GCT will soon organize similar leisure days at famous recreational spots in Hyderabad and Sukkur. A total of over 32,800 students from destitute families are enrolled in the GCT’s schools. “We organize these fun-filled days every year at the elite recreational spots to entertain orphan students in our schools in the best possible way,” said GCT CEO Zahid Saeed. He said the GCT conducted support activities throughout the year to help these orphan students and their families to provide them with quality education and the basic necessities of life honorably. Sindh Local Government Minister, Saeed Ghani, will likely be the chief guest on the leisure day in Karachi.
