IBA hosted a delegation of senior academics from Bangladesh today as part of an academic engagement hosted at the Main Campus.
The visiting delegation comprised Deans, Vice Chancellors, Heads of Departments, Directors, Faculty Members, and senior representatives from leading Bangladeshi higher education institutions, including the University of Rajshahi, University of Dhaka, Chittagong University, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Jahangirnagar University, North South University, BRAC University, Asian University of Bangladesh, and Southeast University.
The session commenced with a welcome note by Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA Karachi, followed by the introduction of the delegation. The visit provided an opportunity for academic dialogue, institutional exchange, and discussion on areas of mutual interest in higher education. The engagement focused on strengthening academic linkages, sharing institutional experiences, and exploring avenues for future collaboration between IBA Karachi and higher education institutions in Bangladesh.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan was also represented during the visit, with officials including Mr. Jehanzeb Khan, Project Director, HEC; Mr. Syed Mehboob Ali Shah, Account Officer and focal person from HEC, and representation from the HEC Regional Centre Karachi.
The visit reflects IBA Karachi’s continued commitment to fostering regional academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and meaningful engagement with institutions across South Asia.
