Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL), the manufacturers of New Holland tractors in Pakistan, has entered the Uzbek market with the delivery of its first export consignment and the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AgroTech Klaster, a company within the Uzavtosanoat JSC, Uzbekistan’s leading automotive and industrial manufacturing hub.
The MoU was signed in Tashkent by Mr Yasin Seker, Chief Executive Officer of AGTL, and Mr. Ulugbek Matkarimov, General Director of AgroTech Klaster, during a visit by AGTL’s senior delegation to Uzbekistan. It brings the two companies together in long-term collaboration across business development, technology exchange, agricultural mechanization and market expansion. For Uzbek farmers, the partnership is intended to mean wider access to reliable, competitively priced tractors, backed by a partner with deep roots in the local agricultural sector.
The agreement builds on AGTL’s first delivery of 18 tractors to AgroTech Klaster. Reviewing the consignment with the visiting delegation, AgroTech Klaster’s technical leadership commended the build quality of the machines and their suitability for Central Asian farming conditions, giving both sides early confidence in the partnership ahead.
Under the MoU, the two companies will work together to grow business volumes, facilitate cross-border trade and explore technology collaboration in advanced mechanization. They will also assess future opportunities in high-technology farm machinery for Pakistan, including cotton pickers and combine harvesters, as Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector continues to modernize.
During the visit, the AGTL delegation, comprising Mr Yasin Seker, CEO; Mr Azhar Noor, Chief Commercial Officer; and Mr Mohayuddin Rubbani, Senior Manager Exports, also met Dr Davron Khidoyatov, Deputy Chairman of Uzavtosanoat Group. The visit comes as Pakistan and Uzbekistan deepen trade and industrial cooperation, and both sides welcomed AGTL’s entry into the Uzbek market as a practical expression of that relationship. The discussions identified opportunities for wider collaboration across Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian region, with a shared commitment to improving access to agricultural equipment and supporting regional food security.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr Yasin Seker, Chief Executive Officer of AGTL, said:
“This partnership marks an important milestone in AGTL’s international growth journey and reflects the confidence that regional partners have in the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. Together with AgroTech Klaster, we look forward to contributing to agricultural modernization and creating long-term value for farmers across Central Asia.”
The partnership marks a significant milestone in AGTL’s export journey, expanding Pakistan’s export footprint, strengthening economic ties with Central Asia, and showcasing the country’s manufacturing strength and industrial excellence on the global stage.
