Public Private Dialogue with women chamber on nontariff measures faced by women entrepreneurs

Lahore (NUT-DESK) The international trade center and (ITC) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organized a Public Private Dialogue on “nontariff measures faced by women entrepreneurs” on 22nd September at Lahore chambers of commerce and industry LCCI. ITC, under its revenue mobilization, investment and trade (REMIT) project, is providing technical assistance to the ministry of commerce to increase Pakisran’s international trade competitiveness As part of its planned activities, research has been carried out on the subject matter to identify barriers to trade faced by women entrepreneurs. The purpose of PPD was to present an initial analysis on the research conducted and obtain feedback of relevant stake holders in order to validate the findings.

Around 25 representatives from various women chambers and govt. departments attended the session. An interactive Question and Answer session held at the end to gain perspective on key issues and challenges faced by the stakeholders and to identify gaps in the research in there is any exits.
