CDRS AND APPNA Food Distribution in AJK

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS) and APPNA have worked together in a collaborative endeavor to distribute food rations and packages to the citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Pakistan. Both organizations have been tirelessly working with many partners to distribute food and Personal Protection Equipment – PPE all over Pakistan.

APPNA (Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America), supported by CDRS, recently provided food to 120 families in AJK, enough to feed a family of 5 for a month. The food packages were distributed to refugees from Indian Occupied Kashmir living in Thota Refugee Camp, and to citizens from many villages in the remote areas of Jhelum Valley and District Muzaffarabad.

CDRS serves human beings who are suffering and need assistance, food, shelter, clean water and the basic necessities to survive. CDRS has fed nearly 70,000 of the most deserving people in Pakistan during the Covid-19 Pandemic, such as when they collaborated with APPNA to distribute rations in District Swabi’s Yar Hussain Dagai Village. CDRS has also provided over 300 clean drinking water projects all over Pakistan, from hand-pumps to solar-powered reverse osmosis water filtration plants, operates 2 health clinics, a House of Blessings for widows and orphans, has projects focusing on youth, women, special patients and animal welfare.

The food distributions by both CDRS and APPNA have tremendously benefited many families, including those who are in need of the most support such as widows, orphans, differently-abled persons who may not be getting the aide they require in such circumstances.

CDRS founder Todd Shea expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards APPNA and its members for their generous contribution, publicly addressing and attesting to the good will which enables charitable and non-profit organizations such as CDRS to serve the citizens of Pakistan in times of need.
